Various ramblings dealing with issues as I see them. Will touch upon everything as it comes to mind. Most issues more than likely I will have a conservative slant on. Others I will have a more or less insane take on. For me to write and you to judge. In any event enjoy it and I invite your comments and opinions. "Only the educated are free." -Epictetus

Yet another example

Once again I’d like to point out an example of double standards in the western world and media. How can we honestly think that a group of people that resorts to terrorism and kidnapping is capable of democracy in any form? Jill Carroll who devoted her time and energy to report on and document the suffering of the Iraqi people under the current insurgency raging in that country was brutally kidnapped by a bunch of Muslim “thugs”. Why do we tolerate or even deal with peoples such as these? Here are a few comments about Islam that I would encourage you all to research and learn about yourselves. None of which you will typically find in the politically correct whitewashing mainstream media.

Muhammad didn’t preach for peace and tolerance, he advocated and demanded the destruction and subjugation of all non-Muslims.

The Quran which as you well know is the Muslim bible commands/demands again and again to make war upon all non-believers of Islam.

Most of the current day Muslim world in the Middle East was not originally Muslim. It was taken from other peoples mostly of Jewish and Christian religion. Needless to say these were not bloodless conquests. They were brutal and bloody.

The Crusades were not an attempt to wipe out Islam. They were in reaction to the acts mentioned in item 3. While the western crusaders were far from saints and committed their far share of murder and destruction the scale paled in comparison to Muslim butchery in the Holy Land as well as in India.

I invite you to research and draw your own opinions on these items. Please do NOT take my word for it. Learn for yourself from unbiased sources the reality of what Islam is all about. The Quran preaches that the Islamic world must wage war (labeled as a defensive jihad) against the non-Muslim world in order to impose Islamic law on them. I say it’s about damn time to realize this, stop covering it up, and wage our own war (as peacefully as possible) to protect our own way of life, culture and religion. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and beliefs, but to the Islamic fanatics I saw if you continue to attempt to rule the world according to your flawed beliefs there will come a time when we will fight back and you cannot hope for any other ending than your total and complete defeat.

Again to each their own in their beliefs. Research for yourself and decide for yourself.

Why the double standard?

Why is it that when a western nation/news agency/private or public person makes a comment, publishes an article, or expresses an opinion on Islam that paints Islam in anything other than the nicest terms there is a public outcry from the Muslim world but not if a Muslim does the same about any other religion? I direct your attention to this recent article http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ap/world/3625106.html.
Why do the Danes or anyone else for that matter have to apoligize to anyone for expressing an opinion? Do the muslim extremeists or their middle eastern backers do the same? Definitly not. I for one am sick and tired of having to mind my political correctness while they (Muslims) burn our flags, denounce our religion as heathen and tout the jihadi principles of a world under Islamic domination. I am tired of "comforting" those in the muslim world that are hurt by an opinion or fact that they fail to realize more often than not is closer to the truth that what they espouse themselves. Muslim persecution of Christians and other religions has been going on for 1300 years with no end in sight. Maybe its time that the West as well as some of the Far east start to make a stand against this baseless Islamic propaganda.

Thankfully we now have a more balanced Supreme Court

Well as many of you already know we thankfully have a more balanced Supreme Court with the confirmation of Judge Samuel Alito. I hope that with his confirmation the Supreme Court will now have a more balanced and logicial slant that will help to keep the court inside its proper bounds of government.

Exxon-Mobil posted more record profits. While I curse them everytime I have to hit the pumps I believe that in the long run higher gas prices will be for the best. Allow me to explain. This country needs far too much imported oil. Most of which come from less than stellar third world and middle eastern countries. My hope is that as prices continue to climb the American people's frustration level will as well. Hopefully this wil force companies to become more fuel efficient and to explore and develop more alternate fuel sources. Thus making us less dependant on oil for countries like Iran, Saudi Arabia, Venezula, and to a lesser extent Iraq. The less we depend on them for our fuel the less we will have to get entangled in the quagmire that often times abounds in countries such as these.

I read that President Bush and the big 3 of the EU are pushing to bring Iran before the United Nations Security Council. Boy this should be interesting. The UN has proven to be a morally corrupt and inept organization. I have no faith whatsoever that the UN will be able to set aside its partisan bickering and inability to reach viable decisions to set into action a plan to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. Time and time again in the recent past countries that have stepped outside the accepted "norm" of international relations have received nothing more than strongly worded memos for the UN. I'm not saying that I advocate military action against Iran at this time only that I have no faith in the UN to correct the current policies currently taking place in Iran. More to follow on this topic soon.

The 4 major non middle eastern powers have called upon Hamas to renounce violence and to recognize Israel as a legtimate nation or have the funding currently allocated to Palestine cut off. Is this for real? Hamas is a terrorist group founded on violence and the destruction of Israel. Do the big 4 countries actually believe that now that they have been elected to run things that they will do a complete 180 degree change from thier founding pronciples? How could a terrorist group founded on religious fanaticism even thin of making a change such as this? I believe that a true "peace" in Israel/Palestine can not be a reality until one side or the other is removed for the area. The Western nations can talk all they want, as long as groups such as Hamas are funded by nations such as Syria and Iran what is their motivation to seek a peaceful agreement with Israel? Once again more to follow on this hotly debated topic in the future.

Another topic for discussion in the near future will be the open and porus border between the US and Mexico. A border that is not respected by our southern neighbor. How can we as a soverign nation tolerate the military or another country crossing our clearly defined borders at will? Not to mention the immigration problems that abound in that region of the country.

In closing this portion of todays opinions of mine I would once again direct your attention to a great new blog located at http://projectshamrock.blogspot.com/.

Thank you and I will return soon.

Until I get a chance to begin writing in earnest here (a day or so) I would like to draw your attention to another new and interesting blog. I'm sure you will find it enjoyable as well as very informative. You will find it here, http://projectshamrock.blogspot.com/.

I will be back tomorrow for my first installment. I'm sure there will also be some interesting topics to write on after the President's State of the Union address as well.
