Various ramblings dealing with issues as I see them. Will touch upon everything as it comes to mind. Most issues more than likely I will have a conservative slant on. Others I will have a more or less insane take on. For me to write and you to judge. In any event enjoy it and I invite your comments and opinions. "Only the educated are free." -Epictetus

You will regulate yourselves to the ash heap of history.

The Middle East will eventually defeat itself in its jihad against the Western World and the “non-believers”.

Napoleon once said “Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.”

Let’s take a look at current events and enemy mistakes in the Middle East. The Palestinians in yet another stroke of inherent stupidity have elected a terrorist organization as their ruling political party. A group of religious zealots with the declared intention of destroying the Israeli State. They will see that the vast majority of the Western world will withhold funding to a terrorist organization freely elected or not. Without this funding the Palestinian State will wither and die. I hope they [Palestinians] don’t expect the rest of the Arab world to pick up the slack. Granted they will contribute some funds but not nearly enough to compensate for the lack of Western funding. While the Sunni Arabs like to tout a united front time and time again they end up helping no one as their petty bickering leads to nothing. While Israel has made mistakes no one with an open mind and informed opinion can say that they have not made a legitimate attempt to find a peaceful solution to the Palestinian problem. Maybe its time they decide and we allow them to roll the bulldozers unimpeded?

Wide spread riots, demonstrations, and destruction in the Middle East due to the publication of some cartoons in the Western Media. The Danes exercise their right to publish and write about whatever they want. This they can do as they enjoy a free and democratic society. In response to this the Muslim world attacks their embassies and calls for the death of Danish citizens. While at the same time Egyptian and Bahraini newspapers almost daily publish cartoons that portray the Jews in the same light as Nazi Germany once did. Have you seen any Jews or Christians burning Arab embassies or burning Egyptian flags? No you don’t.

Iran is hell bent to develop the ability to produce nuclear weapons. The free world cannot and will not allow this to happen. Iran through their inability to find a peaceful and mutually beneficial solution to this issue will back themselves into a corner where they are punished by the free world. No country no matter what their political leanings can allow a known terrorist state to obtain nuclear weapons. That would be a threat that no country would be exempt from.

OPEC consistent rising of oil prices on the world market will eventually regulate these countries to the ash heap of history. The higher they run prices up the more and more frustrated the citizens of the western world will become. As the level of frustration continues to build it will force Governments and businesses in these countries to develop alternate means of energy. As this continues to happen the need for their oil will drop. Once we get to the point where their oil is not needed what will they do then? Will they fall back on their other products to sell on the world market? Oh wait, they don’t have any. Maybe then we can charge them $60.00 a bushel for corn and grain.

While the Western World continues to become more secular the Muslim world continues to become more religiously fanatic. As time progresses and the people of the western countries become more and more aware of this, their tolerance for the double standards and the Muslim bigotry will begin to wane. Let us never forget the inherent differences of Christianity and Islam.
You have heard that it was said to the men of old, You shall not kill; and whoever kills shall be liable to judgment. But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother shall be liable to council, and whoever says ‘You fool!’ shall be liable to the hell of fire.”---Jesus (Matthew 5:21-22)

Now the world according to the Quran

Therefore, when you meet the unbelievers in fight, smite at their necks; at length, when you have thoroughly subdued them, bind a bond firmly on them: thereafter is the time for either generosity or ransom, until the war lays done its burdens. But those who are slain in the Way of Allah, He will never let their deeds be lost. Quran 47:4

Once again the Muslim world is picking a fight it cannot win. Eventually as people in the west become more aware and educated on what is going on in the Middle East and make their beliefs known to their respective governments the position in the west will harden towards the religious fanatics in the Middle East and those governments that overtly and covertly support them. 3 times the Arab world has attempted to defeat Israel with military aggression. Each time tiny little Israel has crushed them. They then embarked upon 3+ decades of terrorist attacks against them and have come off the worst for wear on that front. They [Muslims] may believe they can fare better in their war against the entire western world. Once again they will be proven wrong and ultimately crushed. Long ago the Muslim world reached its zenith. They themselves are hastening its path its nadir. I wish them God speed towards this destination. You in very large part are doing it to yourselves.

I leave you today with a very important quote. Please note who the author of it is. This alone demands that we collectively insure that we prove it wrong and rise to the challenge. The mistakes of the past especially what the author of the following quote has done can never, ever be allowed to happen again. Our way of life while not perfect cannot be allowed to vanish from the earth.

What luck for rulers that men do not think. –Adolf Hitler

In the end victory awaits.

A just fear of an imminent danger, though there be no blow given, is a lawful cause of war. -Francis Bacon

Its about time

It is about time that the Western world takes a stand. I direct your attention here: http://today.reuters.com/news/newsArticle.aspx?type=worldNews&storyID=2006-02-01T165228Z_01_L01441468_RTRUKOC_0_US-RELIGION-DENMARK-FRANCE.xml&archived=False
As I recently wrote we in the West should not compromise our values, morals, and way of life to please the over sensitive and over reactive peoples of the Middle East. Far too often parts of the Western World knuckle under to pressure form radical Muslim countries when they get their feelings hurt by an expression of opinion or the expose of a short coming in their ways. They [Muslims] say nothing when a radical member of their society wages a war of terrorism on us and kills innocent civilians. They say nothing when their own bickering and inability to act rationally causes the needless deaths of their own people. But God forbid someone publishes a CARTOON that they feel insults their oh so special Prophet who preached murder, rape and destruction. Parts of the Muslim population are hell bent on waging their jihad against the West. The more moderate and reasonable portions of the Muslim population are either too scared or too lazy to say anything against them. Maybe its time that the Western World stages a jihad of their own against the current double standard. The Muslim world has proven that they will do and say what ever they please to hurt the Western World, its beliefs and culture. Maybe we should do the same. At the very least the time of bending over backwards to maintain a Political Correctness that is sickening should be stopped. If you feel offended over the Danish cartoon don’t read it. If you want us [namely the West] to not print something like this that you reciprocate in kind in your publications and news broadcasts. If you approach the differences in our cultures in a sane and rational way I know that we will respond in kind. Failure to do so will continue to result in cartoons such as this and blogs such as mine. At least I can say that my side is not attacking your people with roadside bombs, killing those that are more moderate and progressive in my country, and we are definitely not advocating the destruction of your way of life.

In the end as Napoleon once said “Victory belongs to the most persevering”. I assure all in the radical Muslim world we will persevere and will be victorious against your jihad.

Joel Stein - LA Times columnist

I would like to take a moment to bring this idiot to your attention. Recently he wrote an article in the LA Times that he does not support American Men and Women in uniform defending our country and its interests abroad. As a recently retired member of the US Army I am quite offended to say the least. I would just like to remind that little far left S.o.B that were it not for the sacrifices made by those in our Armed Forces he wouldn't have the ability to spout such anti-American crap. I invite this piece of crap to spend a day in the shoes of an American soldier on the front lines, to see what they endure on a day to day basis to provide a free and democratic society for all in this country to enjoy. In closing this particular rant of mine I would like to leave you all with a quote that sums it up.

"It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.
It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the
flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag who allows the protesters to burn the flag."

Yet another example

Once again I’d like to point out an example of double standards in the western world and media. How can we honestly think that a group of people that resorts to terrorism and kidnapping is capable of democracy in any form? Jill Carroll who devoted her time and energy to report on and document the suffering of the Iraqi people under the current insurgency raging in that country was brutally kidnapped by a bunch of Muslim “thugs”. Why do we tolerate or even deal with peoples such as these? Here are a few comments about Islam that I would encourage you all to research and learn about yourselves. None of which you will typically find in the politically correct whitewashing mainstream media.

Muhammad didn’t preach for peace and tolerance, he advocated and demanded the destruction and subjugation of all non-Muslims.

The Quran which as you well know is the Muslim bible commands/demands again and again to make war upon all non-believers of Islam.

Most of the current day Muslim world in the Middle East was not originally Muslim. It was taken from other peoples mostly of Jewish and Christian religion. Needless to say these were not bloodless conquests. They were brutal and bloody.

The Crusades were not an attempt to wipe out Islam. They were in reaction to the acts mentioned in item 3. While the western crusaders were far from saints and committed their far share of murder and destruction the scale paled in comparison to Muslim butchery in the Holy Land as well as in India.

I invite you to research and draw your own opinions on these items. Please do NOT take my word for it. Learn for yourself from unbiased sources the reality of what Islam is all about. The Quran preaches that the Islamic world must wage war (labeled as a defensive jihad) against the non-Muslim world in order to impose Islamic law on them. I say it’s about damn time to realize this, stop covering it up, and wage our own war (as peacefully as possible) to protect our own way of life, culture and religion. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and beliefs, but to the Islamic fanatics I saw if you continue to attempt to rule the world according to your flawed beliefs there will come a time when we will fight back and you cannot hope for any other ending than your total and complete defeat.

Again to each their own in their beliefs. Research for yourself and decide for yourself.

Why the double standard?

Why is it that when a western nation/news agency/private or public person makes a comment, publishes an article, or expresses an opinion on Islam that paints Islam in anything other than the nicest terms there is a public outcry from the Muslim world but not if a Muslim does the same about any other religion? I direct your attention to this recent article http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ap/world/3625106.html.
Why do the Danes or anyone else for that matter have to apoligize to anyone for expressing an opinion? Do the muslim extremeists or their middle eastern backers do the same? Definitly not. I for one am sick and tired of having to mind my political correctness while they (Muslims) burn our flags, denounce our religion as heathen and tout the jihadi principles of a world under Islamic domination. I am tired of "comforting" those in the muslim world that are hurt by an opinion or fact that they fail to realize more often than not is closer to the truth that what they espouse themselves. Muslim persecution of Christians and other religions has been going on for 1300 years with no end in sight. Maybe its time that the West as well as some of the Far east start to make a stand against this baseless Islamic propaganda.

Thankfully we now have a more balanced Supreme Court

Well as many of you already know we thankfully have a more balanced Supreme Court with the confirmation of Judge Samuel Alito. I hope that with his confirmation the Supreme Court will now have a more balanced and logicial slant that will help to keep the court inside its proper bounds of government.

Exxon-Mobil posted more record profits. While I curse them everytime I have to hit the pumps I believe that in the long run higher gas prices will be for the best. Allow me to explain. This country needs far too much imported oil. Most of which come from less than stellar third world and middle eastern countries. My hope is that as prices continue to climb the American people's frustration level will as well. Hopefully this wil force companies to become more fuel efficient and to explore and develop more alternate fuel sources. Thus making us less dependant on oil for countries like Iran, Saudi Arabia, Venezula, and to a lesser extent Iraq. The less we depend on them for our fuel the less we will have to get entangled in the quagmire that often times abounds in countries such as these.

I read that President Bush and the big 3 of the EU are pushing to bring Iran before the United Nations Security Council. Boy this should be interesting. The UN has proven to be a morally corrupt and inept organization. I have no faith whatsoever that the UN will be able to set aside its partisan bickering and inability to reach viable decisions to set into action a plan to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. Time and time again in the recent past countries that have stepped outside the accepted "norm" of international relations have received nothing more than strongly worded memos for the UN. I'm not saying that I advocate military action against Iran at this time only that I have no faith in the UN to correct the current policies currently taking place in Iran. More to follow on this topic soon.

The 4 major non middle eastern powers have called upon Hamas to renounce violence and to recognize Israel as a legtimate nation or have the funding currently allocated to Palestine cut off. Is this for real? Hamas is a terrorist group founded on violence and the destruction of Israel. Do the big 4 countries actually believe that now that they have been elected to run things that they will do a complete 180 degree change from thier founding pronciples? How could a terrorist group founded on religious fanaticism even thin of making a change such as this? I believe that a true "peace" in Israel/Palestine can not be a reality until one side or the other is removed for the area. The Western nations can talk all they want, as long as groups such as Hamas are funded by nations such as Syria and Iran what is their motivation to seek a peaceful agreement with Israel? Once again more to follow on this hotly debated topic in the future.

Another topic for discussion in the near future will be the open and porus border between the US and Mexico. A border that is not respected by our southern neighbor. How can we as a soverign nation tolerate the military or another country crossing our clearly defined borders at will? Not to mention the immigration problems that abound in that region of the country.

In closing this portion of todays opinions of mine I would once again direct your attention to a great new blog located at http://projectshamrock.blogspot.com/.

Thank you and I will return soon.

Until I get a chance to begin writing in earnest here (a day or so) I would like to draw your attention to another new and interesting blog. I'm sure you will find it enjoyable as well as very informative. You will find it here, http://projectshamrock.blogspot.com/.

I will be back tomorrow for my first installment. I'm sure there will also be some interesting topics to write on after the President's State of the Union address as well.
